About Sam Taylor

Sam began working with Rebecca in 2020 as a first-year summer law student after first being introduced to her practice while working as a clerk of the court, Provincial Criminal, before attending UCalgary Law. Sam was born and raised in Calgary. He graduated from Mount Royal University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Health and Physical Education. In his final year of this program, he decided to change his career trajectory to pursue his passion for the criminal justice system by attending law school.

During law school, Sam was an active member of UCalgary’s Faculty of Law Student Legal Assistance program, which provided him early experience in offering legal services to those in need. His focus on meaningful support and advocacy highlighted his commitment to ensuring that all individuals have access to justice.

Sam was successfully called to the Alberta bar in August 2023. He is excited to apply his extensive knowledge and skills as he begins his career as an official officer of the Court. With a dedication to upholding the principles of justice and a passion for legal advocacy, Sam looks forward to making a significant impact in the legal field.
